According to the government sources with the amended law the minimum 24 hours and maximum 14 days period has been fixed for the execution of a death warrant.

The mastermind of the General Headquarters (GHQ) attack Dr. Usman and five others are likely to be hanged within the next 24 hours.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif had signed the death warrants of the six death convicts.

The administration of Faisalabad Central Jail has received the death warrants of the six convicts including the mastermind of GHQ attack Dr. Usman.

The GHQ attack mastermind met his parents for the last time whereas the medical checkup of the terrorists has been completed.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had lifted the ban on capital punishment after the Peshawar Attack when Taliban gunmen stormed Army Public School in Peshawar, leaving 144 people including 132 children and nine staff members dead.
