PTI worker killing: Faisalabad Police arrest 15 suspects

According to details, police arrested five nominated accused namely Nadeem Mughal, Imtiaz Siraj, Iftikhar, Zahid Malik and Pervez Jutt. There were ten nominated accused in the PTI worker killing case.

The arrest of these five accused was made after their identification through the footage of the clashes between PMLN and PTI workers at Novelty Chowk, Faisalabad.

Police officials told that a joint investigation team (JIT) has been formed to probe the matter.

Apart from these five nominated accused, police rounded up ten other suspects who are being interrogated.

State Minister

for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, who is also nominated in the case, has assured of appearing before the JIT. Yesterday, he had recorded his statement with the police, mentioning that he had nothing to do with the Faisalabad mayhem.

The SHO Samnabad police station told that he could not contact another nominated accused in the case, Rana Sanaullah, the former law minister of Punjab.

Earlier on December 8, Tehreek-i-Insaf had organized a protest rally in Faisalabad, during which a PTI worker was killed due to firing at Novelty Chowk.
