KARACHI: The civic issues have gripped the attention of various political parties in the metropolis these days, and in this connection Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is taking out ‘Huqooq-e-Karachi’ rally – (Karachi Rights’ March) – today (Sunday) from mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam to Jail Chowrangi.
Various key leaders of PTI Sindh chapter visited the party camps and inspected arrangements on Saturday night. The rally will be led by PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Imran Khan in his video message on Saturday addressed the Karachi citizens by urging them to stand up for their rights and participate in PTI rally to send an effective message to provincial government of Sindh.

The PTI chief lamented over lack of basic amenities in the city. “Karachi was a better place when I used to frequently visit the city 30-35 years back”, he added.
Calling on people to stand up for their rights, Khan said the problems would not be solved until civil society and the masses step in and raise their voice on ongoing problems.
Anticipating a huge crowd in PTI’s rally, Asad Umar while inspecting the arrangements yesterday told media persons that people will come out for myriad of civic issues being faced by them.

‘Traffic plan ready’
The Karachi traffic police have chalked out a plan in view of the the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s rally to be taken out from the Mazar-e-Quaid today.
The traffic police chief, DIG Asif Aijaz Shaikh, said the PTI’s ‘Huqooq-e-Karachi’ rally will commence at 4pm.
Form the the Mazar-e-Quaid’s VIP Gate, it will move towards the Pakistan Peoples Party Chowrangi at the New MA Jinnah Road and will conclude at Jail Chowrangi.
Shaikh said additional staff had been provided to the New Town DSP traffic and the traffic sections in the adjacent areas. He said more staff would be provided as per the requirement
DIG Shaikh said the diversion points were Saddar Dawakhana, Numaish, Gurumandir, Excise Chowrangi, Jail Main Gate, Jail Chowrangi Flyover Ramp towards Shaheed-e-Millat and Hassan Square.
