Addressing a press conference here, he underlined that the result came on mere 30% voter turnout. “It could have been in favour of masses had all voters used their right of franchise.”
He , however, added: “We accept the mandate of MQM.” He said PTI concedes defeat.

He took exception to Election Commission of Pakistan, saying the commission could not hold proper election despite billions of rupees being spent on it.
It’s beyond my comprehension that why ECP fail to work properly. He questioned why ECP didn’t take notice of manhandling and mismanagement in NA-246 by-polls. The PTI asked whether ECP become helpless before the MQM.
He lamented that PTI election offices and workers were manhandled. He reiterated that it was the first time that MQM rushed off their feet in the election to garner support of the masses.
