Priyanka Chopra joins John Cena, Idris Elba for new Hollywood film

Indian actor Priyanka Chopra has bagged her next Hollywood project, ‘Heads of State’ with John Cena and Idris Elba.

The ‘Citadel’ actor has signed her new action film in Hollywood, called ‘Heads of State’ co-starring eminent stars John Cena and Idris Elba, Chopra announced.

Sharing a screen-grab of a news headline, Chopra wrote on the photo and video sharing application, “On to the next 🎬🎥 Let’s gooo!!”

As per an exclusive report from a foreign-based media outlet, the title will be directed by Ilya Naishuller (of ‘Nobody’ fame), while the script has been written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec based on an initial draft by Harrison Query.

Peter Safran and John Rickard of Safran’s company are producers for the film, while, Cena and Elba along with Marcus Viscidi will serve as executive producers.

Although the plot details are still kept under the wraps, the action title is described as something like, ‘Air Force One meets Midnight Run’.

The project will go on the floor in May.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Chopra is awaiting the release of the Russo Brothers’ web series ‘Citadel’, set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 28.

Next, she has the film ‘Love Again’ co-starring Sam Heughan and Celine Dion in the pipeline, slated for May release.
