ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has reportedly won over all the big parties to take oath and fight the political battle in the parliament, ARY News reported.

A PPP delegation met President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Saad Rafique and Ayaz Sadiq and other leaders were also present on this occasion.

Both the parties agreed to go to the parliament “so that the political battle could be fought in a democratic way.”

This should also be noted that the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has already rejected the JUI-F chief’s proposition for not taking the oath.

JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq said the new government should be let do work. “We will play the role of strong opposition in the parliament.”

He said the JI always struggled for the democracy and it would appreciate good works of the new government.

The deputy Muttahida Malis-e-Amal said, “The JI is not in favour of opposition for the sake of opposition, rather, we will sit on the opposition benches with full dignity.”

He said that we would wait for Imran Khan to fulfill his promise of transforming Pakistan into a welfare state.

Fazl said all the opposition parties will in coordination fight battle for the constitution.

He has directed all his winning party members to take oath.

The JUI-F Shura said Fazl will go to the assembly through contesting by-election now. The Shura said the PPP and PML-N should also be consulted for Fazl’s entry into the parliament.
