Now you can play Pokemon Go on Apple Watch

Niantic Inc. has announced that its popular mobile game Pokemon GO is now available on the Apple Watch.

The game developed by Niantic in partnership with Nintendo and Pokémon Company has became a global phenomenon and has been downloaded more than 500 million times.

“Apple Watch is particularly well suited to Pokemon GO as it seamlessly combines game play and imagination with getting exercise and exploring the real world,” said the Pokémon GO team.

This announcement comes three months after Niantic and Apple revealed that the game would be coming to the smartwatch.

Now Pokemon GO players with an iPhone can catch the creatures on Apple Watch by using quick taps to discover nearby Pokemon and collect items from PokeStops.

This allow us to track our movements by logging play sessions through the Apple Watch as a Workout that will count toward our personal activity rings, while also counting distance toward hatching Pokemon Eggs.

Users can also receive notifications about nearby Pokemon and PokeStops and collect items from them, and when Eggs hatch and medals are awarded.

This allows users to experience Pokemon GO and the world around them in a whole new way on Apple Watch, while also getting a head start on the New Year fitness resolution.
