LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has decided to submit requisition for Punjab Assembly session on price hike, citing sources ARY News reported on Monday.
The Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shehbaz, has directed the party for calling the session of the provincial legislature, sources said.
The PML-N is expected to submit a requisition for the session in the Punjab Assembly secretariat.
The PML-N in its requisition for the Punjab assembly session will demand a debate in the house over the price hike and dearness in the province.
The opposition party will also demand debate on the law and order and the government’s tackling of the dengue fever situation in Punjab, according to sources.
It is to be mentioned here that according to rules, the Speaker is bound to summon the assembly session within 14 days of submission of a requisition.
PML-N has also summoned a joint session of its joint parliamentary party of the Senate and National Assembly in Islamabad today.
Party’s President Shehbaz Sharif will chair the session, which will be attended by the parliament members and senior leaders of the opposition party.
Shehbaz Sharif will attend the summit session of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) after the session of the PML-N parliamentary party.
