PML-N leaders filed the reference with National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq. The reference has adopted the stance that Jahangir Tareen was owner of off-shore companies and he did not show his correct assets.
According to summary of the reference, the National Assembly member of PTI had not yet submitted returns.
Jahangir Tareen said PML-N’s filing disqualification reference against him had given him a chance to laugh out loud.
“I am one of those Pakistani politicians who give the most taxes,” he said in response to reference filed against him by the ruling party.
He said he had been on the record before as well and will reiterate today that those disqualification references could never end his resolve to stand with Imran Khan.

“Naya Pakistan (new Pakistan) was a dream that Imran Khan saw, but today it has become a dream of millions. Slanderous campaigns cannot stop us from achieving our goal InshaAllah,” he said.

This should be noted that on August 05, the ruling party had filed a reference seeking disqualification of PTI chief Imran Khan.
The ruling party’s members had said in the reference that the PTI chief did not meet the criteria of the membership of the parliament under Articles 62 and 63 of the constitution.
