PM Sharif inaugurates Pakistan’s first solar power plant

The project was completed in eleven months with Chinese cooperation and 100 megawatt electricity will be included in the power grid through the project.

This is the first power project based on solar energy.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif and other ministers accompanied PM Nawaz Sharif on the occasion.

Officials have stated that cheap electricity will be available to the nation through the project and will help curb the power shortage in the country.

Officials had also said that the completion of the solar power plant has been deemed welcoming by the federal government.

PM Sharif is expected to address the inauguration ceremony shortly.
