According to details, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will in his address to the National Assembly, will take the parliamentarians into confidence on the current political situation and a political deadlock persisting between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and the Government of Pakistan.
As direct consultation has begun between the government and the forces agitating against it, the prime minister decided to address the National Assembly on Thursday, while he is expected to make some serious announcements regarding the ongoing protest marches in Islamabad and reconciliation with the opponents.
Earlier in the evening, a delegation of government representatives met the PAT leadership and held detailed discussion over ending the deadlock, which however failed due to strict demands by PAT.
PAT had demanded the government committee for the dissolution of assemblies and the registration of a case against the culprits of Model town incident, as per the court orders.
