BAKU: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been conferred with Honorary Doctorate degree at the Baku State University in Azerbaijan.
The degree was presented by rector of Baku State University Abel Maharramovc at a ceremony held at the university.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said the relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan are based on common historical, cultural, and religious values.
The students of Urdu Department at Baku International University sang Pakistani anthem before the visiting delegation.
The Prime Minister appreciated the students for their excellent performance and keen interest in learning Urdu.
