ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has said that several television channels are being fined by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authroity (PEMRA) for airing vulgar and misleading advertisements and programs, ARY News reports from Islamabad.
Pervez Rasheed said that PEMRA cannot stop any program from being aired. However, it has imposed a fine for airing vulgar and inappropriate shows on television.
"PEMRA takes notice of such programs being aired on TV", he added.
