ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has announced a Jirga meeting regarding talks with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), ARY News reports on Wednesday.
The JUIF Chief added that during the meeting, discussions will be held on peace building and prevention of drone attacks.
A representative of JUI-F stated that a date for the meeting would be announced soon.
Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that is useless to hold talks with Taliban without taking the tribal people into confidence. No third party will be allowed to interfere during the negotiations.
He added that the drone strikes derailed the peace process with TTP.
The JUIF Chief added that during the meeting, discussions will be held on peace building and prevention of drone attacks.
