KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi on Monday announced that the West Indies cricket team will tour the country in April.
Speaking to media at the National Stadium Karachi, the PCB chairman confirmed that the former World T20 Champions will be touring Pakistan after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He added that three matches for this tour would be held in Lahore on 1st, 2nd and 4th April . However, he said that he will convince them to hold one match in Karachi as well.
The Caribbean side were due to tour Pakistan in November last year, but adverse weather conditions in Lahore and the commitment of major West Indies’ players to the Bangladesh Premier League led to the postponement.
Sethi also reaffirmed that the final match of PSL 2017 will be played in Karachi at all costs. He visited the premises of National Stadium Karachi to overview the preparations for the PSL 3 final.
He also praised teams working on the renovation of the National Stadium, and said he would return on March 15 to view the final preparations for the event scheduled to be held on March 25.
