Pani puri seller in India gives away free snacks worth thousands

A Pani puri seller in India celebrated the birth of his daughter in style as he gave away free snacks worth thousands of rupees, according to a foreign news agency.

The birth of a daughter is a joyous occasion for all and Anchal Gupta, who owns a stall in Bhopal, was elated with it.

“Beti hai, to Kal hai (there is a future if there are daughters)”, he was quoted saying in the report.

Gupta said that he always wanted a daughter and it was a dream come true. She was reportedly born on August 17.

“The birth of the baby girl is a dream come true for me. Since I got married, I always wanted a daughter, but I was first blessed with a son two years back,” he described his feelings.

After hearing the news of free Pani puri, people from all over came to his stall to eat. He was appreciated for the gesture and he was congratulated by the people for his daughter’s birth.

However, there were criticisms of them not following the coronavirus safety protocols.

Gupta has three children and the girl is the youngest. His two sons are engineers and his wife is a graduate.

He is eyeing to open a tailor and embroidery shop for his spouse but has now delayed it. However, he assured that it will happen sometime later.
