Samina Baig is an undeterred climber and expert mountaineer. The youngest Pakistani ever to climb Mount Everest as well as the only Pakistani woman to achieve the feat, she has her sights set on reaching the summit of K-2 this summer.

A tweet from her brother and fellow climber Mirza Ali revealed that the two had climbed camp 1 of mountain K-2.

The troupe had planned to scale the mountain and reach camp 2 however, the slot of snow had forced them downward instead of upwards, towards camp 2.
Samina Baig made headlines in Pakistan and around the world when she reached the summit of Mount Everest on 19th May 2013.
