Pakistan had carried out a successful test strike in March with the indigenous armed drone. Chief Of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif had commended engineers and scientists for untiring efforts to acquire state-of-the-art technology that will put Pakistan in a different league altogether. He had termed it a great national achievement and called it a momentous occasion.

Burraq’s successful strike could spell doom for Pakistan’s insurgents and militants, whose hideouts could be easily targeted and effectively reduced to rubble, with the lethal drone.
