Pakistan pull off a draw against England after another thriller

Pakistan scored their second goal against England with just three minutes left on the clock to pull off a draw by 2-2 in their third game of men’s hockey at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast on Sunday morning.

Mohammad Irfan Jr, opened Pakistan’s account by scoring a goal in the second half, however, the Men in Green could not maintain their lead as Mark Gleghorne scored the equaliser on a penalty corner just two minutes later.

In the last quarter of the game, Samuel Ward scored another goal for England and it seemed that he has sealed the contest for his team.

Pakistan team kept their nerves and once again Ali Mubashar came to his team’s rescue and scored an equaliser just three minutes before the end of the game.

It was Pakistan’s third draw of the tournament, they drew their first game against Wales by 1-1. Then they draw a thrilling contest against the arch-rivals India by 2-2, where they scored the equaliser with just eight seconds to go.

Pakistan, who are the third-ranked team of Group B, will take on Malaysia on April 11.
