Pakistan, Iran bilateral trade on upward trajectory: minister

ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir on Friday said bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran is on upward trajectory.

The federal minister addressing a gathering to commemorate Iran’s National Day said the State Bank of Pakistan and Iran’s central bank has signed an agreement for stable trade relation between the two countries.

He said Pakistan and Iran have historical and cultural relations and these relations are converting into mutual trade partnership.

Speaking on the occasion, Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Hunar Dost said that Pak-Iran bilateral relations are growing in different fields.

He said development work on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline and provision of electricity are underway on fast track.
