ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to further enhance monitoring of crossing points with Afghanistan.
A decision to this effect was taken during a telephonic conversation by Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan with Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar, DG Rangers Sindh Major General Muhammad Saeed and Inspector General FC Balochistan Major General Nadeem Ahmad.
The minister noted that whenever the crossing points were opened, the country witnessed increased acts of terrorism.
He said strict monitoring should be carried out of those using the points for movement.

Nisar also sought details of the evidence collected so far regarding the terrorist acts in Quetta, Parachinar and Karachi.
“Dastardly terror acts cannot weaken the resolve of the nation against terrorism,” he said.
He said Pakistan would respond to such cowardly acts with full force.
The federal minister directed the heads of FC and Rangers to use all available resources to identify the terrorist groups and their facilitators behind the recent terror acts and bring them to justice.

Military media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) also confirmed that security and surveillance of Pak-Afghan border has been enhanced.
The ISPR warned that stringent actions would be taken against illegal border crossers.
The media wing of military said the recent terrorist incidents were linked to sanctuaries across border.
