Speaking at a weekly press briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said that Pakistan has differences with India regarding cases put up against Kashmiri leaders and it will continue to support the people of Kashmir morally, politically and on diplomatic level.
“We took up the Srinagar issue on appropriate forum, while human rights violations are continued in Indian-occupied Kashmir,” she added. “Indian torture on peaceful protesters is illegal.”
She also declared hike in Indian defense budget to be ‘harmful’ for the region.
The FO spokesperson told that Saudi Minister for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz arrived Pakistan on a routine visit, for which he was invited by his Pakistani counterpart, while the delegation headed by Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif will return to country tonight.
