The COAS arrived in Shawal today and spent his day with the troops participating in operation against militants. The valley is at a height of 3,700 meters.
Speaking on the occasion, General Sharif said that state of troops’ and morale are inspiring. He also commended troops for speed and gains of operations.
“Won’t allow anyone to kill our people and children in this country. “Will expose all faces who helped them at any stage in any way.”
The COAS also directed to comprehensively cleanse militants from hideouts, reducing isolated terrorists to their size and sever their link with their abettors anywhere.
The Army Chief was informed on the occasion that 203 terrorists in Shawal have been killed.
