KARACHI: A pilot of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) dies in an air crash due to technical fault this morning, ARY News reported.
The jet crashed shortly before take-off here in the city. The PAF spokesperson said the pilot embraced martyrdom after he flied away the jet from a residential area to prevent any damage.
According to details, a technical fault developed in the aircraft when it took flight from Masroor Airbase.
The plane went out of control of the pilot and came crashing down. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the site. Two persons were reported injured in incident.
A spokesman of Pakistan Air Force said that an inquiry board has been formed to probe the crash.
It should be noted that Flight Lieutenant Umar Shahzad was killed when his training jet had crashed in Jamrud on 24th September.
