According to details, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) had taken off from Chakwal airbase that a fire erupted and it crashed in fields in Pirwala area of district Chiniot.
The incident panicked residents of the area, prompting officials and rescue members to reach the site of crash.
They informed the PAF authorities stationed at Sargodha airbase, following which PAF team has been dispatched to Chiniot.
The team after taking the wreckage of the drone into custody will ascertain the reason(s) of the crash.
