SYDNEY: Pakistani test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has said that he is not thinking of retirement, ARY News reported on Saturday.
Misbah made the statement during a press conference following Pakistan’s loss to Australia in the Sydney test match. He said that he will make his decision after this year’s edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Pakistan has dropped to fifth place in the test ranking following the team’s 3-0 whitewash from Australia in the test series.
The skipper also said that he selected wrong shots to play as he came under pressure, but said that he would make a hurried decision on his career.
An upset Misbah-ul-Haq, after losing the second test at Melbourne, had said that he would soon take a decision about his retirement.
The test captain has said that there was no point of hanging around when he couldn’t perform for the team. This is Pakistan’s second successive test whitewash as the lost the test series 2-0 to New Zealand last year.
