Not a single ‘patwari’ recruited in 6 years, says Shahbaz

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has said that eradicating corruption and irregularities is top priority of the provincial government – ARY News reports.

Talking to media after a ceremony here on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that not a single land transferring officer (patwari) was recruited by his government in the last 6 years. He said that we are not against patwaris, but want to end the patwari mafia.

CM Shahbaz vowed that the land record of the entire province will be computerized within a year.

He added that a check and balance system will also be introduced in the new computerized land records, so that no irregularity could take place.
