KARACHI: Qaiser, father of Nishwa, a nine-month-old baby girl, who died after being administered wrong injection at Karachi’s private hospital, Darul Sehat, on Sunday held a sit-in protest upon failure of the government to meet his all demands, ARY News reported.
Qaiser said he had placed three demands in front of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah including, sealing of the hospital, arrest of the owners and those responsible and formation of judicial inquiry to probe the matter.
“Only first demand of sealing the hospital was met, while others remained unaddressed”, he said.
He said it was not just a matter of Nishwa, two other children had also lost their lives. He said the chief minister and governor had assured of arresting the hospital owners.
Qaiser said one man had a baby after four years and just after 20 days of his birth the baby died at the hospital.

He said he had asked the government to either seal the hospital or overtake it.
On April 25, terming Nishwa’s demise a ‘murder’, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Secretary General-central Dr Qaiser Sajjad had said that closure of medical facility over individual’s negligence was an inappropriate step.
Addressing a press conference at PMA House, Dr Qaiser Sajjad had said, “Nishwa was killed by wrong injecting at Darul Sehat Hospital and a young girl, Asmat was killed at a government hospital in Korangi.”
