New Zealand’s McCullum selects his All Time XI

Former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum has picked his All-Time Cricketing XI and has chosen some of the best cricketers of all time in his team.

McCullum, who is celebrating his birthday today, however gave priority to his continent while choosing a team which otherwise comprises legends and master batsman and all-rounders.

McCullum’s openers are the hard hitting West Indian Chris Gayle and Indian little master Sachin Tendulkar.

He chooses the former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting for the third slot, while the West Indian greats Brian Lara and Vivian Richards make up his middle-order.

Like Trescothick, he chooses the South African Jacques Kallis as his all-rounder and the former Australian wicket keeper Adam Gilchrist.

For his bowling attack, he choose two Kiwis and two Australians to ‘keep it to his continent’.

Shane Warne is his leg spinner while the Australian Mitchell Johnson and New Zealand’s Tim Southee and Trent Boult as his attacking bowlers.

A Great team McCullum and by the way Happy Birthday!
