According to sources, CPPA had filed a petition proposing the increase of Rs 0.4357 per unit in regard of fuel adjustment for 10,232.79 units sold to power distributing companies (DISCOs) at the fuel cost of Rs 76.27 billion.
CCPA, in their petition has given the details about the cost of power production for the month of July stating that with furnace
oil it was registered at Rs 15.9475/unit, HSD Rs 20.8749/unit; coal Rs 4.499/unit and natural gas Rs4.98/unit. With the reference of given data, CCPA claimed that cost of fuel for power generation remained at Rs. 7.49/unit instead of Rs. 7.06.To consider the proposed adjustment, NEPRA would hold a public hearing on August 26, 12:00 p.m. at NEPRA Tower, Attaturk Avenue, Islamabad.
