ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved the request of K-Electric, Karachi’s power utility, for hike in power tariff, ARY News reported.
Nepra has agreed to increase the power tariff by Rs. 0.15 per unit, whereas the per unit power cost for August has been hiked by Rs. 0.23.
The rates have been revised in respect to monthly fuel adjustment charges.
The revised tariffs, however, will not be applicable over the power consumers availing less than 300 units of the electricity.
It is pertinent to mention here that the power regulator had also approved a hike of Rs. 0.36 per unit in electricity tariff for K-Electric customers on 20th September.
