However, this might not be your average spoiler, due to the fact that Lord Eddard Stark will be featured in a flashback scene. Hence, viewers can stay rest assured that as far as the plot is concerned, Ned Stark is not coming back from the dead but is certainly dead.
The producers have selected a 13 year-old boy named Sebastian Croft, to play Ned Stark. The decision has been taken in line of the show’s owners’ decision to showcase a flashback scene from Cersei Lannister’s childhood.
Croft is a 13-year-old English actor and has been active with theatre for quite some time. He has appeared in London West End productions of Matilda and Les Miserables, and played young Martius in Coriolanus at the Donmar Warehouse. He also starred as Oliver in a UK national tour of Oliver! and played the title role in The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole.
According to the show’s storylineNed Stark, who was featured in the first season of Game of Thrones, was the Lord of Winterfell. He was beheaded on the orders of King Joffrey Baratheon, after confessing his crime of attempting a coup in favour of Stannis Baratheon.
It would be interesting to see Ned Stark again, even in the appearance of a child and what relevance does the scene hold for the Game of Thrones plot.
