KARACHI: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has begun investigation into fire that had erupted in the city’s FTC building three days ago, ARY News reported Wednesday.
The NBP launched the probe whose office was destroyed at the sixth floor of the building during fire. The officials from logistics department and engineering team are part of the probe team.
The officers have started preparing their report. Sources said investigators found it surprising that the fire rapidly destroyed everything.

The offices of bank’s regional head and general manager operations were completely burned in the fire.
Documents kept in the training staff room were also destroyed in the blaze. Police, fire brigade and other departments are also conducting their respective investigations.
Yesterday, police probing the incident of mysterious fire, that erupted in city’s FTC building two days ago, suspect it could be a foul play.
According to police sources, the investigators are probing from different angles whether the fire was an accident or a mischief.
The blaze had erupted in the National Bank’s regional office at the sixth floor of the FTC building.
According to the fire department, the blaze that erupted on the sixth floor of the building at around 2am on Sunday night was brought under control after several hours of efforts.
Two snorkels and 12 fire tenders took part in the firefighting operation, said chief fire officer Tehseen Ahmed Siddiqui.
