Khalid Lango today reached high court to seek extension in his interim bail in corruption case but the bench rejected his bail plea.
The NAB officials arrested the former advisor outside the court premises and transferred to the NAB headquarters in Quetta.
Baaz Muhammad Kakar, the counsel of Mir Khalid Lango, talking to media criticized the NAB officials adding that the NAB has become a political tool. “My client had resigned from his office and offered himself for investigation,” the counsel said.
It is pertinent to mention that after arrest of the former secretary finance Mushtaq Raisani, finance advisor Khalid Lango had tendered his resignation and offered himself for the probe. But, he failed to appear before the anti-corruption watchdog when he was summoned repeatedly and reportedly went into hiding.
NAB in a raid at the house of Mushtaq Raisani in the first week of May had captured a treasure worth 630 million rupees apart from gold, prize bonds and documents of properties in posh areas in several cities across Pakistan.
