NA resolution condemns MQM founder’s ‘anti-Pakistan’ speech

The resolution was submitted by the MQM lawmaker Sheikh Salahuddin. It was endorsed by at least 22 legislators. The party is in hot waters after their chief made worrying statements by MQM founder Altaf Hussain against Pakistan in his speech on August 22 and inciting workers to attack media houses, particularly ARY News for allegedly not giving due coverage to his workers.

The resolution approved in the NA also condemned attack on ARY News office. It read that MQM must be welcomed as it is a Pakistan-loving party and has a history of playing vital role in independence of the country.

Later speaking to media outside the

assembly, senior MQM leader Farooq Sattar reiterated that MQM-Pakistan would not forward its decisions in London for endorsement. “If our offices are illegal, let us know we will raze them ourselves in no time,” he said.
