In his reply, Imran Khan stated that PTI leader Zahra Shahid’s murder came after a hateful speech by MQM chief Altaf Hussain upon which he and other PTI leaders voiced their opinion, an act which is entirely constitutional.
PTI chief claimed that the Rangers raid on the MQM headquarters ‘Nine Zero’ and the subsequent arrest of criminals from the party office proved that MQM is a terrorist organization.
Thus he maintained that the defamation notice is baseless.
MQM leaders Farooq Sattar and Senator Farogh Naseem in July 2013 filed a defamation suit worth Rs5 billion in Sindh High Court for MQM Chief Altaf Hussain’s character assassination as PTI chief blamed him for Zahra Shahid’s murder in Karachi.
PTI central vice president Zahra Shahid Hussain was shot dead on May 18, 2013 outside her house in Defence Phase IV Karachi.

I hold Altaf Hussain directly responsible for the murder as he had openly threatened PTI workers and leaders through public broadcasts.
