KARACHI: Former cricket team skipper Moin Khan has appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to look into Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) affairs after his brother Nadeem Khan’s ouster.

Moin Khan, while appealing to the premier to look into cricket affairs, alleged, “A group is trying to destroy Pakistani cricket by making arbitrary moves.” He asked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi to get rid of ‘corrupt people’ around him and formulate a powerful system to run cricket affairs.

“Some people always use backdoors to reach the cricket board. Some people – who are already facing corruption charges – are now levelling allegations on Nadeem Khan. It would create difficulties for many people if he decides to expose them.”

“It seems that a lobby is actively working in PCB against the cricketers or administrator belonging to Karachi,” alleged Khan.

It is pertinent to mention here that PCB had terminated director Nadeem Khan from his position this month. Earlier, Nadeem Khan had also performed responsibilities as director domestic cricket and director high performance.
