Missing autistic teenager reunites with parents after three years

A heartwarming moment took place when a couple reunited with their missing teenage autistic son after three years in the United States is viral. 

A report by CNN stated Connerjack Oswalt, who hails from the California state, was found sleeping outside a shop in Utah. It was 700 miles away from home.

The police dispatch teams came to the scene after receiving a call about him from a “concerned community member”. 

Summit County Sheriff’s Lt. Andrew Wright, speaking with CNN, said the officer got him inside the car and started their investigation as to who he was. 

They also searched the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children where they found the autistic teenager’s missing poster.

The documents showed the teenager went missing at the age of 16 from Clearlake city. This led the investigators to assume that he was the one they found at the gas station.

“Deputies began making phone calls and were able to make contact with Connerjack’s mother,” the lieutenant stated.

His mother told the authorities that he had a unique birthmark on his neck, which was found.

His stepfather and grandfather came to the police station for identification. He got reunited with them. 

The mother asked her husband if it was her son to which he replied, “A little bit older, but yeah.”

She said her “sweetheart” was alive. She asked him to get her son back.
