Milk prices expected to increase in Karachi

KARACHI: The retail and wholesale price of milk in Karachi is set to increase after its vendors announced a hike of Rs. 9.00, ARY News reported.

According to detail, the retail price of milk will go upto Rs. 95.00 per litre whereas the wholesale rates of milk will reach 80.00 per litre following the increase in rates.

The new rates will be applicable from next week.

Dairy farmers have stated that the rates have been revised due to increase in the cost of production.

Commission Karachi, taking notice of the announcement, has warned that strict action will be taken against the milk sellers who will increase the prices.
