According to details, PMLN-led provincial government in Punjab has removed Rana Mashood from the Law Ministry, after the surfacing of a video scandal against him.
Sources privy to the matter told that Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman has been given additional charge of the Law Minister Punjab.
It was further said that re-shuffling in the Punjab Cabinet is also under consideration and some other PMLN members are expected to be charged with key responsibilities.
The footage was broadcasted during ARY News program ‘Khara Sach’ by senior anchorperson, Mubashir Lucman a few days ago, showing the former Law Minister Punjab, Rana Mashood speaking ill about his own leadership and receiving a cheque from Asim Malik, in the name of organizing a rally.
The footage had left the entire PMLN in a shock and Rana Mashood had to face strong criticism by the party members, not to talk of the other circles and common people.
Following the video scandal against him, PMLN had formed a committee to probe the matter; however Mashood was removed from the ministry earlier today.
