Twenty-one-year-old Gregory Orrostieta,21, was sentenced Wednesday by a Lancaster County judge on his third-degree murder conviction for killing Millersville University freshman Karlie Hall in February 2015.
The judge sentenced Orrostieta to 20 to 40 years in prison. Reports said the killing was the first at school in its 161-year history.
Orrostieta told authorities he got into a fight with Hall over spilled noodles, but claimed she had been drinking and fell and hit her head.
Orrostieta was found trying to administer CPR to his girlfriend after calling 911, but authorities said he was faking that and she had been dead for hours.
