While briefing media after a meeting at Mansoora on Sunday, secretary general of ITMD, Mufti Muneeb ur Rahman said that a way is being paved for arousing conflict between the government and the religious forces in the country.
In order to avoid any confrontation, he invited all the concerned officials including the prime minister and the chief of the armed forces of Pakistan, to hold talks on the issue.
Chief of Wafaqul Madaris, Qari Hanif Jalandhari said that the religious leadership will not at all allow anyone to take control of seminaries.
The religious leaders clarified that the government policy to hold talks parallel to a crackdown against madaris will not succeed in any case.
