Lord Nazir Ahmed while speaking exclusively to ARY News said that none is above the law in Britain.
Ahmed was of the view that Britain has a clear policy on justice so if Pakistan provides proofs against a British citizen, the culprit may be handed over to Pakistan or he could be persecuted according to British law.
It must be noted that Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan during his speech in Pakistan’s National Assembly said that it is responsibility of the government to probe killing of every Pakistani either he was killed in Pakistan or outside.
The minister said that some progress on Imran Farooq’s case has been made adding that government is liable to provide, whatever proofs it has, to bring the killers of Dr Imran Farooq to justice.
A month ago Nisar hinted that the Pakistan government is cooperating with the British authorities regarding Imran Farooq murder case while informing the media that evidences have been provided by means of which the case is about to be resolved.
MQM leader Imran Farooq was killed on September 16, 2010 in London. He was stabbed outside his home in Edgware, London, close to the MQM’s international Headquarters.
