Addressing a press conference after the PTI consultation meeting, Imran Khan told that the people want accountability of the ones who looted their mandate in elections.
“Constitution says that a government is formed after transparent elections, while the measures taken by a government coming into power by manipulating the elections are also considered as unconstitutional”, he added.
“We understand that a historic fraud took place in the General Elections 2013”, Khan reiterated his stance.
He said that we are seeking ‘a day’s sacrifice’ from the people of Lahore; this protest is meant for the future of the entire country, not for a single party.
He appealed the traders of Lahore to sacrifice a day’s business of them, however he also assured that no one will be forced for it.
The PTI chairman vowed not to step back without the audit of the elections at any cost.
“Had the government opened four constituencies, then it would have revealed everything”, he said.
Moreover, Imran Khan said that we have formulated a MoU for talks with the government and if the judicial commission was formed by Tuesday then his party will not go ahead to shut down the country.
