PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has approved 26 billion rupees for development projects in tribal districts, Radio Pakistan reported.
According to a spokesman of provincial government, the amount will be spent on completion of about eight hundred 800 education health, agriculture, roads and sports schemes.
Similarly, all the tribal people affected by terrorism will be provided compensation amount.
It is pertinent to mention here that a day earlier, speaking to a gathering of tribal elders in Spinkai Raghzai area of FATA, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that his government has decided to spend Rs100 billion on development projects in Federally Administered Tribal Areas to make up for the tribal people’s losses during the war on terror.
He announced that the development projects will include power projects, schools, hospitals and sports facilities for the people of tribal areas.
“We will spend on you what past governments have not spent in last 70 years and will bring tribal areas and Balochistan at par with other developed areas of the country,” said the premier.
