According to details, a Joint Investigation Team was formed to investigate the tragic bomb blast which took place on Sunday. SP investigation of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) was appointed as the Convener of the JIT.
Sunday’s bomb blast sent the country into a shock wave of terror and grief. The Gulshan-i-Iqbal park in Lahore was the target of the powerful explosion, which killed more than seventy people and injured dozens. The park was sufficiently crowded and many Christians were also targeted in the attack, since it was an Easter holiday and people had taken to the park to spend time there with their families.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed the nation on Monday and promised to hold each and every terrorist accountable for the vicious attack. The Lahore tragedy drew condemnations from world leaders and celebrities alike such as Narendra Modi, Donald Trump, Justin Trudeau, Hrithik Roshan and Dia Mirza.
