According to details, Punjab government formed a JIT to probe yesterday’s suicide blasts in Youhanabad neighborhood of Lahore. The JIT will be headed by DIG Shehzad Sultan.
Yesterday, two suicide blasts occurred outside the Catholic Church and Christ Church, due to which 16 people have been killed so far.
The incident sparked protests all over the country with violence dominating Lahore for two days.
Enraged protesters wielding batons clashed with police at Ferozepur Road and other areas and the administration had to call in Pakistan Rangers to bring the situation under control.
