LAHORE: Thousands of Pakistanis reached Minar-e-Pakistan and signed the “resolution for better Pakistan” presented by ARY News anchor Iqrar-ul-Hassan Syed in memory of the historic Pakistan resolution, ARY News reported on Friday.

March 23, Pakistan Day, was specifically chosen by “Sar-e-Aam” host Iqrar-ul-Hassan for the reason that freedom movement leaders passed the historic Pakistan resolution, 78 year ago, on this very day.

The resolution presented by Iqrar-ul-Hassan comprised of two brief but all-encompassing points.

1. We will do everything in our capacity to make Pakistan a super power, a top country in all positive aspects and will start to change ourselves to change the society for good.

2. Our religion Islam has the best charter for human rights and it is a complete code of conduct so we will make it our aim to follow the principles laid down by our religion.

A huge crowd passed and signed this resolution amid chants of Pakistan Zindabad (Long Live Pakistan).

Moving scenes were witnessed at Iqbal Park, which houses Minar-e-Pakistan, as senior citizens and physically challenged Pakistanis too attended the event.

It is pertinent to note here that March 23 is celebrated as Pakistan Day in the memory of Pakistan resolution, a resolution dubbed as the first official call for a separate and independent homeland for the Muslims of British India, as espoused by the two-nation theory.

Iqrar-ul-Hassan’s ‘Sar-e-Aam’ show is famous for exposing corrupt and unauthentic products/public services like fake amils (faith healers), poorly manufactured products disguising famous company names, etc.

The episodes differ greatly, episodes exposing dark sides of the community are also aired. The general idea of the program is to show the public whatever is happening under their eyes so that they are aware of those guilty of these crimes.
