iPhone ‘Error 53’ may lock down Apple handsets completely

Users have been complaining that their phones encountered ‘Error 53’, which showed up on the screens preventing them from any further activity.

It seems that there is no solution to the issue but to purchase a whole new handset.

The problem remains limited to new software update iOS 9, as the error occurs when the phone detects it has been repaired by a third-party or any unofficial parts were installed in it.

It then reportedly shuts down the phone entirely. The handsets repaired in past may lock down as soon as updated to the new operating system.

The problem has been occurring since the update was rolled out last year.
