Indian military officer expelled for allegedly raping Afghan girl

Brigadier SK Narayan was posted as the defence attache at the Indian Embassy in Kabul.

According to media reports, he allegedly raped the Afghan girl on the premises of the embassy, after she approached the embassy to obtain a scholarship.

The government of Afghanistan took urgent notice of the incident and immediately expelled him from the country. However, no criminal proceedings have been initiated against the accused official, reports said.
